Perform finite element (TCAD) simulation of device structures to determine power device process requirements and to predict device performance characteristics. Develop, Optimize and transfer into volume production high voltage (400-1200V) power MOSFET technologies and products with state-of-the-art performance. Develop an advanced understanding of the physics and failure mechanisms of Si and III-V semiconductor based power switching devices and use commercially available TCAD simulators to design high voltage “normally off” and “normally on” devices including the core cell and the associated guard ring and field plate edge termination structures. Use TCAD to study and come up with design solutions in the area of power semiconductor devices. Transistor level simulation of the switching characteristics of circuits and devices using SPICE. Generate the SPICE models for static and dynamic behavior of power MOSFETs. Review and evaluation of various emerging device technologies.

Support the pilot manufacturing line in the assembly, testing and evaluation of new products. Collaborate with R&D team and participate in the design, qualification, and implementation of new test processes. Evaluate yield, cost, performance, and suitability for release into production. Develop and maintain a systematic debug guide documentation for responsible products. Drive efforts in re-engineering, cost reduction, yield improvement, quality and reliability improvement.

MS (by Research) from IIT Madras in Electrical Engineering (Microelectronics) with focus on semiconductor devices, device physics and nano electronics. Expertise in the use of different TCAD tools: process and device simulators like Silvacos' Athena, Atlas, Synopsys' Sentaurus process, Sentaurus device, Medici, Suprem etc. to analyze in detail the fabrication processes and underlying physics of the operation of semiconductor devices (Silicon and GaN). Worked on the design of double gate MOSFETs, FINFETs, CMOS devices, silicon photomultiplier and low voltage nanowire devices like nanowires, nanowire diodes and nanowire Mosfets in my thesis which resulted in two scientific publications in international Journals.
