* As a Technician in the lab I worked on a variety of chemical analyses including: * Hexavalent Chromium Analysis * Formaldehyde Spot testing * Full ISO and AATCC Formaldehyde Extraction * Urea Analysis * Ammonia Analysis * Oil and Grease in Stuffed Toys Quantification * pH of Paper and Textile Analysis * Lead analysis using Hydrofluoric Acid * I also used a variety of lab equipment and I became skilled at routine maintenance and troubleshooting on the equipment I used. * As a technician I had to work with the non technical staff to explain issues with testing and failing results. I regularly spoke with clients about their submissions and testing issues. I also handled sourcing for some difficult to find testing materials.

I worked on the Ice Harbor Dam on the Snake River in Washington State tagging salmon. I worked with crane operators to move our trap components and set them in place for our tagging operations. I was responsible for identifying specimens for tagging and I operated a hydraulic trap to contain the fish. After collecting the required number of fish I was responsible for inserting the tagging devices and releasing them back into the river. I also worked on a project in which I observed footage of the fish ladders at a variety of dams and recorded the number of lamprey that passed through the ladders.
