In my most recent role, I lead the development and implementation of cost control strategies across all key areas in line with client objectives and requirements. I ensure accurate financial reporting in close collaboration with senior management. I manage and maintain all cost estimation, analysis, and control functions. I provide strategic support in the project, organizational, and administrative activities. I develop and deploy required performance standards within the department. Moreover, I oversee various procedures, including financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking. I administer complete cost control functions in key projects with significant non-routine requirements. Improve individual / team productivity through robust oversight and assessment of performance. I deliver strategic directions to the professional team for the strong leadership of projects / programmes. I perform multiple tasks, comprising variance analysis and trend identification, whilst providing the best recommendations for continuous improvements. I track and monitor financial performance by analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts. My achievements in this role have been: - Enhanced accuracy, completeness, transparency, and consistency of reports / dashboards by driving internal audits. - Uncovered and mitigated potential risks by implementing robust plans in each project associated with project risk management. - Produced and managed planning and cost deliverables in accordance with project timetable from engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning data.

During this tenure, I oversaw and maintained end-to-end engineering cost control functions related to the company's projects, services, engineering, and overheads in compliance with organizational standards. I created and deployed policies and guidelines to establish appropriate cost-control practices for the company. I drove cost engineering and control personnel assessments throughout the organization by advising on development areas. Furthermore, I steered the preparation of the CCS-CANDY budget summary on cost codes to ensure correct information is passed to the site. I provided strategic advice on design issues related to technical guidelines. I evaluated contract documents and tenders to secure construction projects. I have supported the project management team in controlling individual projects by leveraging the company's methodologies, processes, and templates. I administered and controlled the entire facts of scheduling and project budget. I tracked project progress / performance whilst identifying / resolving potential issues. The values I have driven in this role include the following: - Served as Team Leader in implementing Oracle ERP system, optimizing project controls and work efficiency. - Ensured robust engineering cost control by creating and executing clear cost control strategies, practices, and toolsets. - Created and deployed a new coding system for the entire organization in accordance with international standards. - Assured successful execution of a new cost function process map by building and leading a team of 20 cost engineers and specialists.

From 2014 to 2108, I developed and presented monthly cost reports whilst conducting a monthly review meeting with corporate and site management. In addition, I tracked current and forecast expenditures against the approved budget, enabling projects and corporate leadership to control final project costs in line with the approved budget. Moreover, I managed and maintained purchase orders against budget provisions before issuing them to suppliers. Finally, I ensured the on-time creation of invoices by reviewing the account. A small selection of the achievements from this role include: - A new cost control procedure concept decreased organizations' costs by 25%. - Increased profit margins by 10% by providing exceptional support in the execution of projects.

In this job, I administered end-to-end cost control and estimation functions. I coordinated multiple procedures, including tenders, front-end designs, and schedule containment estimates for the smooth execution of projects. I delivered strategic recommendations / solutions / recovery plans to schedule impact / delays. I evaluated variances in cost as well as monitored performance against plans. Furthermore, I ensured the creation of an overall project plan in close collaboration with project engineers. I managed all aspects related to the estimation of monthly values of invoices and cash flow diagrams. I tracked and monitored costs by comparing actual against contracted amounts. Finally, I updated the project's progress report to the Director of Contracts Management and Design / Project Manager. My key accomplishments for this role were: - Devised and deployed a cost control system aligned with approved procedures, international standards, and best practices. - Planned and upgraded financial analysis database for unit costs of BOQ items during different phases of projects.
