Facilitates the social, academic, and personal adjustment of students to the residence hall and University. Helps develop a sense of community among residents as members of a floor, residents of a hall, and active participants in the residence life system.

Responsible for maintaining constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency. Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services. Provides competent, safe instruction using recognized lead-up skills as established by our certifying agency, Ellis and Associates. Effectively plans and organizes class time for maximum practice through weekly lesson plans. Teaches with encouragement and positive reinforcement. Provides for consistency in instruction by working each assigned period.
