Professional Experience: • Madhu Koneru is a second-generation entrepreneur who took over the business of Rescom in 1998. Since then, Rescom has grown from a trading entity to a global conglomerate with investments in backward and forward integration initiatives across the mineral supply chain. 1998 to 2012 • Has experience in managing coal and copper assets across Asia and Africa valued over USD 500 Mn • Established and scaled operations in a Kuwait JV which has grown to be one of the largest, privately-owned mud drilling companies in the Gulf 2014 to date • Led and developed a team to identify and evaluate early stage or stressed opportunities for investment and development. Rescom has since successfully concluded 2 deals on distressed commodity assets that were turned around to start main-stream production in 12-18 months. o Debt buy out for a mining asset worth 1 Billion dollars, re-commenced operations along with future offtake agreements o Equity investment in fully constructed plant, concluded debt restructuring and commenced production.
