Madhav Gupta
Student Assistant at Campus Planning, Design and Construction @ Stony Brook University
About
Hi, I’m Madhav Gupta, a Computer Science student who enjoys building software that is simple, fast, and truly useful. My journey began at 14 when I realized that computers were more than just screens and icons. I spent afternoons exploring settings that I probably shouldn’t have, breaking software, and then fixing things: reinstalling, restoring, and learning how systems fit together. Gaming caught my attention first. I wanted to learn how games were made, so I pursued the basics of programming and studied the patterns behind smooth, responsive experiences. This curiosity grew into an interest in how operating systems, networks, and databases interact. Now, as AI rapidly changes what we create, I’m focusing more on cybersecurity. I believe in secure-by-default thinking, understanding how attacks happen to design safer software, and treating reliability and safety as essential features. On campus and in the industry, I have concentrated on ownership and quality. At Manras Technologies, I supported real estate portfolios on a modern CRM stack by adapting data models, tuning record layouts and validation rules, writing how-tos, and ensuring day-to-day operations ran smoothly. I also contribute to student communities. As part of an AI group, I helped organize engaging events that provided peers with clear introductions to machine learning and software topics. Outside of coding, I enjoy going to the gym and playing sports, especially lawn tennis. I love the cycle of learning, practicing, teaching, and sharing through small write-ups and demos. I want to work with teams that appreciate craftsmanship, curiosity, and delivery. If you’re hiring for an internship or have an open-source issue I can help with, I would love to contribute, learn quickly, and work on meaningful projects.
