Madelyn Osten

Fourth-year business student, future data analyst. My aptitude for mathematics led me to Drake University, where I am currently pursuing a BSBA in data analytics and actuarial science. My Drake coursework has given me classroom experience with Microsoft Excel, Python, SQL, and Tableau; it was through this exposure that I discovered my interest in data analysis. Interning with the Life Business Intelligence & Advanced Analytics team at Sammons Financial Group has allowed me to pursue this interest within the insurance industry. Furthermore, the executive council positions I've held during my time in the professional business fraternity Phi Chi Theta have helped me cultivate my communication and collaboration skill set. I look forward to utilizing my current experience, challenging my abilities, and continuing to grow as a Business Intelligence Analyst with Sammons after graduation!
