Als thematrekker Vervoersarmoede werk ik aan verschillende projecten die de mobiliteit bevorderen van mensen die niet volledig deel kunnen nemen aan de maatschappij vanwege vervoersbelemmeringen.

At Schuttelaar & Partners I did research & design for campaigns with societal topics such as pregnancy discrimination, changing behaviour towards eating more healthy food, equality and sustainability. I am fascinated by how behaviour can be steered in favour of society by powerful (though often simple) interventions. Next to my conceptual work I translated figures and feelings into stories which were visualised in infographics. My visual and UX skills came in handy when delivering the final product to the customer. I work at inspiring projects such as the Internet of Food and Farm (IoF) 2020 project, a 4-year Horizon 2020 project with 70+ partners that has the objective of fostering the uptake of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies in the European agricultural sector.

Het Filmlokaal aims to tackle societal issues in a positive and playful way. By combining social design with film, an interesting mixture emerges where intimate experiences are created and difficult topics can suddenly be open to discussion. We are two sisters – Anna & Madelaine Berlis – and together with a wide network of freelancers we generate ideas and concepts for various companies.

For Mare Medien I designed multiple websites, magazines, posters and flyers. I designed the magazine Ostseeresort Olpenitz, Stolperstein and Momo Magazin.

Except is a worldwide cooperative of 30 sustainability strategists, researchers and designers. Together we innovate for those organizations that wish to lead the way in sustainable development.

I designed an interactive platform & positivity festival for the Bellamybuurt Beweging to increase social cohesion.

It is a 10-month project about societal issues around youth in the Escamp area of The Hague and their identity development. Founded by Stichting Doen, the Municipality of The Hague and more.

binaryfutures is a research & design group on Design Futures with a focus on interactive spaces and smart objects. We work at the crossroads of technological progress, physical design and human interaction, we iteratively find inspiration from the past and perspective from what’s next, shining a light over trajectories, re-interpretations and contaminations in both digital and physical domains.

This post-master was about the theory behind human behaviour and how to change it in a way that benefits society, organisations, etc. Additionally to the theory, I did a case about bingedrinking among Dutch youth, thereby following the Behaviour Change Model. This was done in collaboration with Objectief, the behaviour change company behind the national NIX18 campaign.
