While finishing my education in Chicago, I also spent most of 2012 working as a graphic designer at Christopher Foltz & Co., a public relations company. My job consisted mostly of developing brand identities, creating advertisements, and designing website and various other marketing materials. The most valuable skill I gained from this experience was the ability to manage my own clients and accounts.

As Art Director at Amsterdam Worldwide, I worked on a creative team to develop and produce international campaigns for a variety of clients, focussing mostly on film. The position came with many new responsibilities, required me to adapt to a very fast paced environment and gave me numerous new insights into the industry. Clients included Internaxx, Mitsubishi and Bunq.

For much of 2011, I worked as a Qualitative Assistant for Focus Centre Chicago, a marketing research facility that hosted focus groups. While there, I worked on an office telephone system receiving and transferring phone calls, operating video recording equipment, and greeted / directed clients and respondents. While working at Focus Centre, I developed clerical and social skills, but most importantly I gained a new perspective of the advertising industry.

As a Junior Art Director at J. Walter Thompson International, I worked to develop successful international advertising campaigns and oversaw the production of materials. I was required to learn new skills and adapt my previous skill set to include video editing and copywriting in order to meet new challenges. Clients included Bridgestone, Mazda and SwissRe.

I graduated from Columbia College Chicago in December of 2012 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Advertising Art Direction. My studies focused heavily on Advertising Strategy, Graphic Design, and Typography. I also completed a Minor in Photography.
