Research about concentrated solar power: heliostat characterization and simulation.

* Working for Airbus DS in the Mission Planning area. Main tasks: * Functional analysis of Mission Planning system for aircraft A400M, mainly focused on Aircraft Interfaces (FMS and M-MMS). * Requirements definition: SSS (System/Subsystem Specification) and SRS (Software Requirements Specification). * Integration tests in test bench and in aircraft.

* Main tasks: * Development of methods for simulation and perform simulations for fuel tanks development: * Construct conceptual models of processes and provide recommendations for design. * Apply and develop statistical analysis tools to assist in the evaluation of input data for use in the model and output data generated by simulations. * Participate as a member of a team in project implementation and delivery to customers. * Setup and run all tests associated with validation and benchmarking of all simulations results. * Document all engineering analysis and data generated from the simulations.

* Internship and temporary contract. Main tasks: * Functional analysis and high level programming of mission planning system for aircraft A400M, mainly focused on the cargo loading plan (cargo hold configuration, weight and CG, shear & bending, aerial delivery, flight envelope...). * Requirements definition: SSS (System/Subsystem Specification) and SRS (Software Requirements Specification). * Preparation and execution of tests to verify system requirements. * Development of loads distribution optimization algorithms for A400M cargo hold by means of Matlab and CPLEX. * Analysis and test of mission planning software for C295. * Software integration tests in test bench.

* Simulation Engineer in the project “Seasonal heat storage based on phase change material”. Main tasks: * Measurements of a test heat storage module. * Simulations of the heat storage module by means of Ansys Fluent (CFD). * Comparison between different geometries, meshes and CFD parameters. * Continuous comparison between tests and simulations to improve simulations results. * TRNSYS simulations of a solar heating system with and without a seasonal heat storage. * Small-scale experiments with different phase change materials and simulations.

The Master of Engineering in Aircraft Systems Integration (MASI), sponsored by Airbus Group, has been specifically designed for recent graduate engineers, and working professionals who want to develop and lead projects of Systems Integration. Courses include: Fundamentals of Aeronautical Engineering, Design & Config. Aircraft Systems, General Systems, Systems Engineering. Activities and Societies: Participation in an interactive workshop organized by EADS at the Paris Airshow Le Bourget, visit to the Final Assembly Line (FAL) of the aircraft A400M in the EADS factory of Sevilla, several visits within the EADS factory in Getafe.
