Department of Infectious disease Pharmacology • Organized and conducted key pharmacology in vivo experimental strategy that helped generate pre-clinical data package for FDA submission with Novartis lead compound • Pharmacology representative at Project team meetings for multiple cross-functional antibacterial and antiviral projects • Involved in all aspects of experimental design and execution, independent data analysis and interpretation, presentation of findings. • Responsible for in vivo studies, in vivo model development/proof of concept, compound/biologics small molecule screening in PK/PD efficacy and safety/toxicity models. • Responsible for mentoring junior associates on the team. • Presentation of data/project strategy planning at lab and core team meetings • Emergency Response Team representative • Social/Associate council representative

Clinical Sciences & Innovation group This was a NIBR mini sabbatical program in the Clinical Sciences & Innovation group. The purpose of this sabbatical was to gain exposure to clinical operations of NIBR's Phase I and Phase IIa global clinical trials. I closely followed the global clinical trial leader role in protocol design and writing, study start-up, maintenance, and close-out within infectious diseases and cardiovascular disease areas.

Department of Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics • Involved in planning and execution of experimental design and conduct as a member of the metabolism and pharmacokinetics department • Pharmacokinetics screening support for the entire antimicrobial preclinical pipeline • Liaison for MAP group and Bioanalytical processing on campus, facilitating analysis and submission of PK experiments.

-Manage and inventory of tissue samples from various University collaboration studies. -Hematology laboratory procedures consisting of creation of blood smear slides, fixing and staining slides and differential count for ongoing studies. -Assist with minor analytic procedures and practices with ongoing experiments in the laboratory such as transferring of samples, storage and proper sterilization of laboratory equipment.

Bovine Respiratory Disease Complex: Coordinated Agricultural Project -Conducted Microbiology lab procedures such as ELISA testing, RT-PCR, and preparation of histology slides. Processing blood samples for immunological analysis and RNA extraction in addition to assisting in dissection and tissue collection for RNA Sampling. -Working on this study as a second year paid intern, I was entrusted to follow a set of Standard Operating Procedures/Protocol that had to be carried out both in the laboratory and field setting to ensure adequate bio-security and maximum level of efficiency in experimental results. -Performed various vet aide tasks, including clinical observations, nasal swabs, collection of blood samples, administering vaccines(intramuscular, intravenous) and other common veterinary tasks such as bandaging and administration of analgesics. -Experience with barn machinery, this includes certification to operate a forklift, bobcat certification and manual and hydraulic chute experience.

-Basic Janitorial tasks. -Manage office operations of incoming and outgoing assignments, current & future projects, and data storage/management using Excel, Word and OneNote. -Setting up for sporting events and campus wide ceremonies -Communicating with university officials and coaches on a day to day basis.

-Shadowed veterinarians and veterinary students, animal care/procedures. -Acquired knowledge on common large animal/small animal illnesses, familiarizing myself with veterinary/medical terminology allowing me to record animal vitals prior to the Veterinarian consultation. -Assisted in preparation of the animal for specific medical procedures such as radio-graphs, ultrasounds and surgery. -Performed various office skills, including keeping records of patient’s histories/ dealing with patients owners in person. -Animal care, aiding Veterinarian in patient housing management, formulation of food rations and post-surgery rehabilitation.

-Secretary/Front desk-Database input, Manual Labor-hauling hay. -Acquired knowledge regarding the function of a small business – Agriculturally related. -Organized and created a library of databases for the company’s future reference. -Managed and recorded sales inflation and deflation prices throughout alfalfa season, included sales experience and cashier experience.

Majored in Animal Science with my emphasis being in Equine Reproduction. Joined Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fall 2010 - Philanthropy Chairman, Member of the Executive Council
