Luis Alejandro Delgado

I’m a bilingual (Spanish/English) architectural designer with a passion for innovation—on Earth and beyond. At Gensler, I’ve built a reputation combining sharp visualization skills with a deep interest in smart building systems and human-centered design. I’ve contributed to large-scale, mixed-use projects in Latin America and love working at the intersection of complexity, purpose, and scale. My work focuses on blending culture, landscape, and sustainability. Each design aims to translate local identity into spatial experience—shaping architecture that is rooted in place, responsive to climate, and reflective of the communities it serves. Beyond traditional practice, my work expands into speculative and future-oriented design. I’ve explored how space-based digital manufacturing, extraterrestrial habitats, and emerging mobility technologies—like autonomous vehicles and advanced air transport—can reshape the way we live and build. As part of a NASA Centennial Challenge–winning team, I continue to push architectural thinking toward new frontiers. Curious by nature and forward-thinking by design, I’m always seeking new ways to push boundaries and reimagine what’s possible.
