As Accounts Payable Manager I brought a department that was over six months behind to current status quickly by providing training, developing new procedures and putting together a very successful team of five members. I was responsible for auditing all cash disbursements and transactions, month end close, submitting journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, preparing expense analysis reports, maintaining service, lease and equipment contracts, vendor relations, maintaining vendor fuel pricing, approving time cards, hiring staff, completing and administering yearly employee reviews and filing 1099 reports.

Responsible for all accounting operations using including management of six staff members and working with the corporate office to structure our financial statements and other reports so that they may easily be consolidated with our holding company. Duties included cash management, daily bank settlement, account reconciliation, agent commissions, general ledger audit, electronic banking and ach transactions, collections, purchase orders and management of programming needs. Implemented new policies and procedures that shaped the department into a strong support staff and settlement resource for the other departments. Helped to design functional databases and queries in order to facilitate the capture of income.

My Project Management position focused on the upgrade of the MAS accounting system from 3.71 to 4.5. I was responsible for data conversion, testing and training the order to cash group on the new billing processes being introduced along with the upgrade. Other projects included reviewing and implementing improvements as needed in the Order to Cash processes to reduce the number of credits and rebills, get open orders resolved in one day and reduce days to invoice. I worked with operations managers on internal freight costs and reviewed customer pricing to gauge the utilization of a standard pricing model. I provided feedback on new processes that impacted inventory and gave support and training to the inventory analyst.
