Responsible for oversight and core budget development of non-public safety city agencies.

My internship with the Controller's Office provided me with a unique opportunity to participate in several annual financial and budgetary processes at the municipal level. I was responsible for preparing and reporting the yearly continuing disclosure report for all of the non-utility associated bonds. I was also heavily involved in the city's annual budget process. My duties included inputting and calculating budgetary data, both into the city’s financial software system and into the State of Indiana's reporting system. I was also solely responsible for tracking and maintaining records for specifically allocated training funds for all city departments. Lastly, I was included in preparing the city's annual financial report that is reported to the state. Over the course of this internship, I also professionally communicated with various department directors, state officials, other city employees.

24/30 Surplus is a privately operated business that functions as a retail re-distributor. I held this position intermittently; starting in May 2014 - August 2014, then during December of 2014, and lastly in from May 2015 - August 2015. During this internship. I assisted the office manager with customer grievances and inquiries regarding their orders and shipments on a daily basis. When I was not involved with office related duties, I worked with the team responsible for quality control, processing hundreds of pieces of merchandise accordingly with the businesses quality control measures.

During this internship experience, I analyzed current legislative initiatives of Sen. Lugar and his fellow representatives. I also aided with community involvement projects sponsored and administrated by the community service center.
