Luca Mengarelli

Joined Huawei as a Solar Engineer in the Site Integration department. There, I worked on projects involving solar plants integration, efficiency improvement, site modernization, and energy revamping for the assets and facilities of major national telecommunications companies. Delivered 1+ MWp PV plants distributed in 150+ sites (updating...). MSC in Energy Engineering at La Sapienza University, focusing on the industrial sector and both conventional and renewable energy sources. My coursework covered energy supply, transformation/conversion, and storage, as well as the management of energy systems and facilities, with a keen awareness on safety and ecological impact. During my final year, I conducted a project-experimental thesis in collaboration with Q8 and the Milazzo refinery. This involved studying the integration of an electrolysis plant within the refinery in order to replace grey-hydrogen production from traditional steam reforming with green-hydrogen. My key skills lie in the end-to-end technical-economic management of projects: feasability analysis, technical solution design, projects delivery. My overarching goal is to make a tangible, positive contribution to the transition towards a sustainable energy model. Every day, I dedicate myself to studying and enhancing my knowledge and skills to achieve this significant objective. What sets me apart is my strong foundation in critical thinking, coupled with an analytical-mathematical approach and a creative disposition.
