LShift was formed in 2000 with the simple aim of creating a company capable of working at the highest technical level. I believe that our tech team are simply the best in the UK. We have delivered major applications for companies such as the following: for Barclays ClearlyBusiness we built an application that allows SME's to rent software on a monthly basis rather than buying it; we've built data driven sites for the likes of New Media Knowledge and others; for Habitat we built a system that manages their print catalogues, the data on their web site and in store transaction; we've created new system prototypes for Vodafone as well as creating their SMS content delivery and billing systems; we've even worked developing a new programming language for Microsoft. Right now we are working on a new product, RabbitMQ. Specialties: Multimedia programming; web and application programming; technical team leadership; lecturing and public speaking; technical evangelism. Update: RabbitMQ was sold to VMware and now has a huge user base around the world. LShift continues to prosper.

My first serious job in noomedia. Bliss was it in that dawn to be a Macromedia Director developer. I founded the UK Director Users Group while here, and chaired it for three years. The company started by developing 'Digital Postcards'... you know, floppy discs that play you a presentation. It was considerably more exciting than it sounds. Sadly, the MD disagreed with my prediction that the internet might perhaps replace the floppy disc as a medium, and it ended in tears.
