I am a Senior Software Engineer who has been working with NI LabVIEW and TestStand for the last 7 years. I am specialised in developing bespoke test and automation systems, and have worked on various projects for medium and large companies - including manufacturing, military and aerospace systems. My case study on a system to monitor home energy efficiency was a finalist in the 2014 NI Impact awards, and I have continued to take an interest in using LabVIEW in connected devices and ‘Internet of Things’ applications. I also have an interest in IT and have worked in technical support roles and managed the IT infrastructure in my previous job for the whole company, over two sites. I am a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET) and the British Computer Society (MBCS)

Continuing from a successful placement, I worked full time developing LabVIEW and TestStand software systems for medium and large applications. This work included managing my own projects, liaising with customers and using NI hardware. Over time, I got my Certified LabVIEW Architect and Certified TestStand Architect qualifications, and was given more responsibilities, such as mentoring interns and working on higher profile projects, such as military and aerospace applications. From July 2016 onward, I also took on the IT maintenance for the company, which included setting up users, handling support requests and maintaining security over 2 separate sites.
