As a Census Collector, I had to visit the houses of people from whom we hadn't received a form. This then involved helping people with filling the form out if they had difficulties or replacing one if it had been lost, for example. I also had to fill out paperwork everyday, recording what happened at each house and if any following up was required for certain addresses.
