Initially appointed as Credit Manager at the Langley location, we successfully amalgamated the credit and admin functions of the truck and equipment divisions; Approved credit for in-house finance contracts and parts & service accounts; Improved AR collections to continuously exceed corporate guidelines; Reduced the number of required adjustments to the monthly bank reconciliation; and increased finance income by 16% and 18% in first two years. Accepted the position as Regional Finance Manager in May 2017 advising both sales associates and truck & equipment customers on various finance options. Increased both our finance market penetration and finance income by over 25%

Appointed by and reporting directly to the Board in Chicago, IL this position directed the entire Accounting/IT/HR functions of the truck dealership and eleven associate dealers. Turnover in 2011 exceeded $55m. Being part of a company quoted on the NYSE, we adhered to strict reporting deadlines and stringent SOX/ internal control requirements. Prepared detailed annual business plans with the Management Team and presented to the Board; monthly P&L and detailed cash flow forecast for the Board; expense control analysis, monthly variance reports and KPI’s/metrics for the departmental managers. Oversaw the annual audits/reviews by Baker Tilly – no adjustments were ever required by the Auditors to the management reports. Direct dealing with GE Capital & CIBC (Bankers). Appointed Interim General Manager in Dec-2013 after the Diamond International Truck Group signed a Management Agreement with Navistar.

Established fiscal / inventory controls and financial discipline. Implemented a realistic marketing and advertising plan. Improved profitability of the dealership, notwithstanding a very competitive market in the Lower Mainland. Implemented best practices by attending Dealer 20 Performance Groups. Dealt extensively with HSBC & KPMG (Auditors) throughout this period.

Participated in the construction of the facility and start-up operation of this new dealership in the North Shore Automall which opened its doors in December 2001. Implemented marketing strategies, systems and processes to function within the OpenRoad Auto Group and the Auto Mall guidelines.
