Supervised a team of 12 tutors. Provided opportunities for professional development. Led bi-weekly team meetings to promote group cohesion. Worked collaboratively with Master Tutors to develop strategies for student success, tutor engagement and teamwork.

Provided academic support to students during one-on-one tutoring sessions. Attended workshops and tutor team meetings to enhance my skill-set. Encouraged a friendly atmosphere where learning comprehension was a top priority.

Provided service to current and prospective graduate students. Advised students of university policies and acted as a liaison with various university departments. Performed data entry and maintenance, and investigated student employment tuition benefit and pay grievances. Recruited prospective students via graduate open house events and virtual recruitment fairs. Authored a bi-weekly graduate student newsletter and created promotional material for special events such as the annual Graduate Research Fair. Assisted in the development of online teaching modules for a pilot course designed to improve the teaching skills of teaching assistants and graduate student instructors.

Provided guidance and support to a team of six graduate student instructors. Conducted research on barriers and retention of first generation, FTIAC college students. Designed daily lesson plans for two sections of UNIV 101L based on a pre-approved curriculum. Topics included campus engagement, time management, goal setting, maintaining health and wellness, critical thinking and study skills.

Facilitated a quiet environment conducive to individual and small group study. Reviewed undergraduate student assignments and then discussed possible revisions.
