I have taught the Western European survey courses in addition to Prehistory to fall of Rome, Renaissance and Baroque, 19th century, and Modern art history. Recently the Art of Asia and Art of Latin American. I have been teaching for Citrus College on the campus of Duarte and Monrovia in their early college entrance program. Online teaching continues to one of my focus areas at Citrus.

In addition to teaching courses in Latin American, Asian, and the Western European surveys, I am designing the curriculum for an online version of the art course on art of the Prehistoric through the fall of Rome. Last spring I was invited to teach in the Architecture/Design cohort. This enabled me to call on my interior design training. The History of Architecture 110LC is such a joy to teach and I was able to incorporate social media tools like Pintrest which the students used to create virtual ideas banks of styles and design.

I have taught the three survey courses for Cal State LA. Summer quarter of 2012 was particularly gratify as I received outstanding student reviews. Spring and fall of 2018 I was called upon to teach the non western survey and an upper division course in Early Christian and Byzantine art. The 4000 level course was a fulfilling experience due to the rigor of the subject matter and the pedagogical innovations I was able to implement with juniors and seniors who are Art History majors.

While at LACHSA I designed and implemented the one year World Art History course. This was a class for college credit thaught to high school students 10th -12th grand. I also taught Modern Art History to 9th graders. I was asked to be a member of the interview panel for potential new students. Additionally, I represented the Visual Arts department in the WASC accreditation process.

Teaching upper division courses, in my research area, in a small liberal arts college? What an opportunity! Last spring I taught the Spanish Colonial class. I was the instructional designer and prof. for the "Cave to Cathedrals" Western European survey class online this summer. Again, a great opportunity to use all the innovative tools available for the 21st century classroom. The Moodle LMS continues to become more user friendly and Voice-thread was a major part of our classes feeling of connectedness (even though the students were literally all over the world)! This fall its Mesoamerican art! Que rico!
