• Assigned to Appellate Division as a 2L, position usually assigned to third years or postgraduates and logged 168 hours. • Wrote and argued pre-trial motions on behalf of District Attorney, researched issues for attorneys and assisted DA’s in determining which cases to prosecute. Achievements ➢ Wrote 9 motions in opposition for appellate division (motions to suppress evidence and to dismiss cases). ➢ Completed 7 research projects for 3 attorneys within the division including warrant procedures for cell phones, double jeopardy and dismissal, and the standard of review and its limitations. ➢ Argued motions to suppress evidence before 2 judges. ➢ Prepared two police officers to testify at hearing in preparation for motions to suppress evidence.

Achievements ➢ Worked 198 hours and wrote 3 research memos reviewing applications for writs of appeal. ➢ Devised 18 research memos to provide analysis for Judges on both motions to dismiss and suppress evidence. ➢ Wrote approximately 12 research memos for criminal/civil departments analyzing questions on the law including Double Jeopardy between state/military law and the elements of torture for a murder trial.
