My food safety tasks aim to protect consumers and the brand by preventing contamination and ensuring hygiene compliance: • Environmental Monitoring Program (EMP): Plan and monitor EMP swabs (pathogen & indicator), including risk-based site selection, trending, and escalation for fails. • ATP Swabbing & Training: Conduct ATP swabs post-Class A cleaning. Created a training video showing correct ATP methods and all swab points to educate technicians and reduce ATP fails. • Pest Control Management: Lead monthly inspections with pest vendors. Conduct RCA for any pest activity. Found root cause for past beetle infestation by tracing fumigation records via SAP. • Sanitation Program Owner: Manage Class A cleaning schedule and validation. Drive improvement projects such as nitrogen tunnel brush SOP, cutter mold drying trials, and dough platform access. • Contamination Control: Led CAPA for bird incident- barricaded area, sanitized zone, and reinforced door control. • Corrosion Incident RCA: Collected rust stain sample from maltodextrin water tank. Proposed testing method to detect metal content and advised on corrosion-resistant materials. • Document Owner (FSMS): Manage food safety-related SOPs, PRPs, sanitation records, validation reports, CAPAs, pest logs, and export compliance documentation. • Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborate with engineering, sanitation, and warehouse teams on water leak RCA, ladder safety improvements, and damage drain action plans. 💡 Every task, big or small, contributes to safer food and a stronger system. My role in QA focuses on ensuring our final product consistently meets internal standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements: • Product Evaluation & Sensory Panel (PES): Conduct PES for finished goods and end shelf life samples. Identify key sensory defects like rancidity, oiliness, or seasoning loss. • Panel Leader for Ramadan Peak: Handled 70+ canisters per day during peak Ramadan period for PES. • Documentation Management: Maintain product specs, label information, CoA templates, PES records, and product release forms. • Shelf Life Program: Plan and track end shelf life testing for all product types. • Salt Autotitrator Sensor Fix: Solved recurring sensor failure issue with vendor support. Suggested a new ammonia-based cleaning method, significantly reducing sensor replacement costs. • Efficiency Proposal: Suggested a simplified stock count documentation process to reduce time from 2 hours to 15 minutes. Although not approved, the idea reflects my drive for continuous improvement. • Audit Readiness: Support internal and external audits with proper records, PES trending, and timely closure of findings. • Product Label Verification: Verify actual printed labels against artwork for allergen, nutrition, barcode, and layout accuracy.
