Responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting, responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements, developing forecasts and budgets, performed internal audits, provide oversight for accounting and clerical staff, and more.

* Prepare monthly financial statements, metrics, and actual vs. budget variance reports for review with Controller, manage Month End Close Process & Account Reconciliations, prepare Budgets: P&L; Balance Sheet; Cash & Departmental Expense. * Oversee the preparation and analysis of reporting ensuring the quality, reliability and timeliness of the reports including annual and quarterly SEC reports and proxy statements, pursue continuous improvement of the closing process. * Preparation of audit schedules and interfacing with the auditors during the financial audit process. * Establish proper records, approvals, documentation and audit trails for all transactions. * Assist in the development of process documentation. * Mentor and train junior staff members. * Assist the Controller on a range of projects, primarily involving financial data collation and analysis. * Implement and maintain formal controls to comply with SOX requirements.

This is responsible professional accounting work maintaining accounts and financial records. The work includes implementing accounting and financial controls, maintaining and reconciling accounts and journal entries, preparing estimates of receivable and payable during budget development, preparing and reviewing financial and cash reports and statements, and maintaining computerized accounting systems. Work is performed under the general direction of the Finance Director. The employee supervises clerical support staff.
