Working as a sole trader from 2008 to 2014, I set up Liz Hawkins Ltd in February 2014. I specialise in website design, using Wix, Weebly, Squarespace and Shopify; social media set-up and maintenance; online project management; website critiques and content strategy; website editing and content management systems; copywriting and proofreading. Responsible for all content on www.totalfilm.com. Liaised with all major studios and PR agencies with respect to online content. Managed the Total Film forum. Created specification documents and rolled out new features on the website. Collaborated with the magazine team, publisher, marketing dept., subscriptions dept. and commercial team for promotional campaigns, partnerships, content deals, etc.

Responsible for content and functionality on www.blockbuster.co.uk. Created specification documents and rolled out new features on UK (and European sister websites). Worked with designers, coders, various Blockbuster departments and other third parties on a variety of web pages and services, including the Online Store and DVD Rental By Post Negotiated and managed all content feeds, including film database, news feeds, trailers, etc.

Researched new European territories for Muze to move into. Specifically, this role involved initial desk top research; visits to Germany, Spain and Italy to meet with prospective clients, competitors and partners; report collation and presentation of findings to the US management team.

DHE, a subsidiary of Carlton Communications plc, specialised in third party e-commerce solutions and fulfillment. Key clients included Odeon, Blockbuster, Popcorn, Carlton Video and Carlton Books. My role involved producing web pages; maintaining website content; managing product databases and database administrators; project management; client liaison; managing online customer services issues; collation and analysis of customer data.

Headed up the marketing team for this 200 strong structural engineering practice. Responsible for company intranet and website; PR and client liaison; corporate literature; tender and award submissions; conferences and events; company databases.

Business Development Manager for this 160 strong environmental consultancy, which was part of Tarmac plc.

Developed and managed the first European office of American organisation, Environ Corporation. Involved in development, sales, marketing and delivery of environmental consulting and training services, including the establishment of a widely publicised database.

Environmental Office Administrator for this large French Certification Body, a subsidiary of Bureau Veritas.
