Helped clients organize their software projects and software development processes. Worked with my clients to build a team with various programming competencies in order to be able to respond to business needs. Mentoring developers in OOP concepts and practices. Helped my clients build a nice environment that would motivate developers and make them feel as part of an elite team. Advising the developers on steps to take to widen their horizons and better themselves.

Participated in developing new features in a big Expenses Management System (ExPro). Successfully promoted and implemented quality “tools” like Unit-Testing and Test Driven Development. Acted as a refactoring and “getting legacy code under automated tests” subject matter expert. Managed to introduce open-source tools and technologies like Ant and Hibernate to obtain increased productivity in the team. Refactored code in old features of the software to improve the design and achieve a better code reuse.

Working on a new online Poker platform (www.pearlspoker.fr) . Refactored old code base to get it in shape for testing. Introduced acceptance test for customer to be able to receive quick feedback on his requirements. Automated all major time consuming tasks like building, testing, deploying and database refactorings. Advised my client on all the architectural concerns needed to be taken into account when going live.

Leading the development of a new Adobe product. Designing APIs for medium and large subsystems. Mentoring younger team members. Leading technical product conversations with customers and other 3rd parties. Reviewing other team member’s designs and code, and recommending improvement.

Successfully managed two important IN Web Provisioning projects. Played a major role in Computaris winning the trust of a new and later to become major client. Negotiated scope, quality and budget and managed stakeholders’ expectations in crisis situations. Successfully promoted and implemented quality and learning “tools” like Unit-Testing, Test Driven Development and Study Groups. Acted as software architect and reviewer for architecture documentation. Acted as mentor for junior software developers. Acted as a J2EE subject matter expert. Acted as third level support on a couple of legacy software, performing bug fixing and developing new features. Refactored legacy software to improve the design and achieve a better code reuse.

Participated in developing a Hotel Reservation System. Analyzed legacy application to capture requirements for the new application. Participated in designing the high level architecture of the application and designed the low level architecture of some modules. Participated in designing the database model. In charge with the Java-based business layer of the application. Introduced a few agile practices in the team like Test Driven Development and Pair Programming.

Designed and implemented several modules in www.zappmobile.ro portal such as a system to automatically translate web content to fit mobile format based on XML/XSLT technology and a subscription based system to transmit live events to mobile handsets from 2002 FIFA World Cup. Worked together with the Marketing department to brainstorm ideas for new features and to capture the requirements. Acted as XML and CSS subject matter expert.

Shortened the feedback loop between development and testing by getting the applications running on developers machines within Docker container, where these apps were previously deployed on AWS before any testing was done on them (automated or not). Added new features on a "not so micro"-service app for Digital Audio Ad delivery.

Working on a legacy Customer Care application for telecom resellers. Refactored old code. Developed new features and customizations for new customers. Bug fixing legacy code. Prototyping a workflow web based application. Developing a Automated Testing Framework (running integration tests) around QFTest and setting up an continuous delivery infrastructure for new projects. Adapting legacy projects to work in the continuous delivery infrastructure. Advised project stakeholders on architectural and agility issues.
