About
Research experience spanning over 15 years, working mostly with the development of lipid and polymeric nanoparticles for the delivery of anti-cancer drugs and gene delivery systems. I work to modify and optimize formulations and assays to meet specific parameters. My background allowed me to acquire extensive formulation experience and great fluency of nanoparticle characterization techniques, including dynamic light scattering, zeta potential, nanoparticle tracking analysis, and in vitro drug release, analytical methods, cell-based assays and in vivo mouse models. Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and project management skills, besides leadership experiences managing small groups of research assistants and technicians. I have always been driven by challenge, curiosity, and a desire to learn.

- Development of lipid- and polymer-based nanomedicine for antibiotic delivery in collaboration with the Antimicrobial Discovery Center at Northeastern University. - Design lipid nanoparticles and polymer-based nanocomplexes (e.g. LNPs, liposomes, micelles) for drug and oligonucleotide delivery against cancer cells. - Development of in vitro model to investigate neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs). - Oversee different projects within the laboratory, including outside collaborations. - Managing a small group of researchers with different backgrounds and levels of experience.
