Lisa Nalven

As a photographer, making one feel at ease is my superpower. Messy moments are my specialty. Children and adults facing challenges, like cancer, terminal illness, disabilities, substance abuse, and homelessness, are all in my wheelhouse. I call it “capturing love on life’s journey.” I grew up in a bar in NYC, a serious education in people. With my mother at the helm, she modeled that kindness was normal and not exceptional. My first career as a professional dancer took me around the world with a camera in tow. It exposed me to rich cultures. I learned to appreciate our differences, not fear them Love, empathy, kindness, and service are the pillars of my life and business. I’ve been given a gift to do what I do, and when you are given a gift, it is a gift to be given. My work is my passion, my joy, and my service. I LOVE what I do.
