European Commodity Clearing (ECC) is a central clearing house for energy and energy-related products in Europe and beyond. ECC provides risk management, as well as financial and physical settlement in power, gas and certificates. In close cooperation with the ECC management, my colleagues and I determine the long-term strategy for ECC. I conduct in-depth analyses in order to shape ECC's strategic roadmap. I also follow regulatory files, mainly in the area of power spot markets.

Cratos offers consulting services in the areas of strategy, organisation and IT - with a special focus on the energy sector. As a consultant at Cratos, I managed a multi-stakeholder project at a large power and gas distribution system operator. The project, with a budget of several million €, ensured that the customer's glass fibre infrastructure was optimally used and issues swiftly located and solved. Doing this project, I leveraged on my expertise as an energy economist while gathering more experience in the telecommunication sector.

eurelectric is the sector association which represents the common interests of the electricity industry at pan-European level. In my position as the Electromobility Policy Advisor at eurelectric, I represented the industries interests vis-à-vis policy makers and ran two of the association's working groups. I covered topics like sector coupling and (electro-)mobility policies in a very independant manner, drafted position papers, informed our members on topical EU policy issues. I followed the European political process on all relevant legislative files (including the so-called Clean Energy Package) and contributed to eurelectric's overarching workstream on electrification.
