Currently leading the core engineering for OpusClip, working on AgentOpus. Oversee and actively contribute to daily backend and AI feature development while providing dotted-line management and technical guidance to a high-performing team of ~30 engineers. Play a key role in product innovation discussions, bridging engineering with business priorities to ship features that directly drive user growth and revenue. Design and maintain key business monitoring pipelines and dashboards to ensure the product's performance and quality at scale. Passionate about building a collaborative and open engineering culture where experimentation and cutting-edge solutions can thrive alongside rock-solid reliability.

Led the innovation engineering team and also co-owned product responsibilities, bridging technical execution with product strategy. This startup journey put me into the deep end of the data and AI space, where I experienced first-hand what it really means to build technology-driven business value under tight constraints. I learned that while entrepreneurship is an overused word, at its core it’s all about people and business: for people, it’s about trust, hustle, and clear thinking; for business, it’s about cash flow, a viable model, and constant innovation.

In the innovation business line, I served as the TeamLead, heading a cross-functional team that spanned frontend, backend, operations, and product. I spearheaded numerous experimental initiatives, contributing a wide range of projects to support the company's long-term strategic growth.

As one of the earliest engineers on the team, I was solely responsible for the entire server-side development. Designed and implemented server-side back-end systems supporting tens of millions of users and billions of data points, ensuring stable and orderly service operations.

As I grew into the lead developer role, I spearheaded a major refactoring of the tool, which significantly enhanced performance and reduced complexity, boosting code quality and team productivity. Refactoring the version control tool into a modern Java app. This empowered the team to have best coding practices and had a consistent tech stack.

Worked in a multinational team and gained hands-on experience with textbook-level, structured software development processes, which laid a solid foundation for my engineering mindset. Developed and maintained a Git-based, enterprise-level customized code version control tool using Perl, improving flexibility and maintainability for the team.
