Lionel Giacomotto

Lionel Giacomotto is the Managing Partner of Charterhouse Capital Partners and Chair of its Investment Committee. Lionel has been with the firm since 1993, and led the firm’s repositioning to focus on exclusively on the European mid-market in 2015. He leads Charterhouse’s strategy, investment origination, and execution. During Lionel's early years at Charterhouse Capital Partners, he was actively involved in UK investments before spearheading Charterhouse’s expansion in France in the late 1990s, enhancing its investment activity and reputation. He has since driven the firm’s broader growth across Continental Europe, including recent investments in Germany, Italy, and Benelux. A graduate of Université Paris Dauphine-PSL, Lionel brings deep expertise in private equity and a strong track record of driving growth across markets.
