Holiday inn East Kilbride – Conference and Events Sales Assistant and Banqueting Food and Beverage Supervisor. I covered maternity leave in Conference and Events sales and was responsible for ensuring the guests looking to book the facilities have a professional and efficient experience. I was also responsible for day-to-day administration including charges for functions, booking confirmations and issuing business sheets to the relevant departments. Previously accountable for meeting and greeting delegates and setting up meeting rooms I was then promoted to Food and Beverage Supervisor for Banqueting, confident in toast mastering Wedding Celebrations and managing other events such as funerals, tribute nights and birthday parties. I was also trained as duty manager for the hotel dealing with guest complaints, staff sickness and issues and any other day-to-day issues.

Avondale Veterinary Practice -Trainee Equine Veterinary Nurse Accountable and solely responsible for the equine centre including all matters to do with hygiene, maintenance, day to day running and animal care for the horses with the practice vets. Supervising the horses through the day and ensuring the care documented by the vets was administered in the correct way in a timely manner. Dealing with customers during admission, care and discharge, in person or by phone. Managing the paperwork and filing of equine clients and ensuring their bills were processed. Assisting the vets on farm visits and assisting with primary care and supervision of the horses to support the vet.

Links Veterinary Group -Trainee Veterinary Nurse Responsible for the hygiene rotas, to make sure the entire daily, weekly and monthly cleaning is carried out. This ranges from cleaning kennels to a full disinfection of the ops rooms. Working at reception, answering the phones, paying off accounts and booking appointments. Assisting the Vet Nurses with anaesthetic monitoring, taking blood, setting up IV fluids positioning for x-rays / ultrasounds and bandaging. Supporting farm visits with the vet where required.
