Biomedical Sciences researcher as a DPhil student. Published two scientific research papers in high impact journals. 1. Studied the post-translational regulation of Transcription Factor EB (TFEB), a key factor in lysosomal biogenesis and lysosome-related metabolic diseases, uncovered a novel mechanism of its regulation through nuclear export and multiple phosphorylation. 2. Performed a high-throughput small molecule screening to target TFEB-related activity, and identified several FDA-approved drugs that can be used as potential therapeutics for neurodegeneration and cancer.

Certified language helper of the Language Centre, University of Oxford. Assisted 2 intermediate level Chinese learners in grammar and speaking, and helped with the final presentation in the Chinese-learning course.

Volunteer to Fauna and Flora International (FFI) and Guangxi Biodiversity Research and Conservation Association (BRC), participated in China’s first investigation into the coastal environment issues and the loss of biodiversity in the Beibu Gulf Economic Rim in Guangxi Province, China.

Assisted in a neuroscience research project studying the molecular mechanism and drug target discovery of circadian rhythms.
