Schedules and monitors drivers and equipment to ensure transportation operations run safely and the effective distribution of Ford Motor Company freight - Assists in the development, planning, and modification of daily schedules as appropriate - Ensures on-time delivery for truck load (TL), less-than-truckload (LTL), and charted shipments by setting up recovery loads for critical freight and checking for estimated times of arrival and delivery through coordination with contracted carriers -Maintains computerized dispatch systems, handling rate negotiations with carriers on a spot rate basis -Provides visibility to management and the customer by tracking, process over-sight, auditing, and troubleshooting operational issues or functions -Analyzes and confirms EDI with customers to plan needed expedited shipments and shipment adjustments
