About
An essential component of cellular processes including gene regulation and DNA repair is the organization of eukaryotic genomes into functionally and spatially discrete domains. My graduate training research focused on using cell, molecular, and imaging-based approaches to characterize a the role for a histone chaperone in maintaining this vital level of chromatin organization. Currently, I am investigating the epigenetic and chromatin-based changes that occur when cells become cancerous in response to the expression of a potent oncogene and regulator of pluripotency. Years of research experience and an ever-growing knowledge base cultivated excellent science communication and editing skills. I am eager to use these experiences and acquired skills as an editor at a scientific journal, with the ultimate goal of becoming an in-house editorial consultant at an elite research institute.
