Lindsey Elmore, PharmD BCPS DASPL CYT

What Dr. Elmore does well is take complicated science matters and make them simple. Originally trained as a chemist and then a clinical pharmacist, she now crafts memorable, relatable science stories about natural products. She grew following on Facebook Live where she shares these stories, and has trained others to take ownership of their wellness on five continents. She teaches one-on-one all the way to groups of many thousands. She is the author of Essentials: 75 Answers to Common Questions about Essential Oils, Clean Slate Cleanse Cookbook and Workbook series, and Bountiful: A Phytonutrient Cookbook.

As Director of Global Education, Dr. Elmore creates and disseminates online and live educational materials in close collaboration with sales, marketing, public relations, and legal teams. She has managed multiple teams of trainers, educators, and event planners. As Director of European Events, Dr. Elmore strategically plans events that create excitement and momentum that drives sales. Dr. Elmore also has served as Interim Director of European Marketing from April 2016-September 2017, where she managed communications, design, product management, product registration, public relations, and online media. In each of these roles, Dr. Elmore has managed multimillion dollar budgets.

As Transitions of Care Clinical Pharmacist, Dr. Elmore managed medication issues for patients admitted to the hospital with myocardial infarction, heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder, and pneumonia. She coordinates medications across the continuum of care, and oversees pharmacy technician operations. This includes but is not limited to admission and discharge medication reconciliation, inpatient disease state education, triage of medication access issues, and outpatient medication review. Dr. Elmore also regularly published manuscripts in AJHP, Currents in Pharmacy Teaching and Learning, Evidence-Based Practice, Annals of Pharmacotherapy, and others. She was a frequent poster and platform presenter at a variety of local, state and national meetings.

As assistant professor of pharmacy practice, Dr. Elmore taught in the Patient Self-Care and Monitoring and Pharmacotherapy course sequences. She also maintained an active practice site at FMS Pharmacy in Bessemer, AL. As the director of the community pharmacy residency program affiliated with FMS Pharmacy, Dr. Elmore precepted longitudinal learning experiences in academic community pharmacy practice. Graduates of the program are prepared to own and operate an independent community pharmacy. Additionally, she was the coordinator of a both a teaching and learning certificate program and a preceptor development program. She achieved program accreditation on initial assessment. During her tenure, she also served as a visiting lecturer at the University of Zambia and taught in the Department of Medicine.

As a PGY2 resident, Dr. Elmore maintained an active practice in a Family Medicine clinic, inpatient Family Medicine, and Geriatric Family Medicine. She managed diabetes, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, oral anticoagulants, chronic pain and medication therapy management. She is proficient in incident-to billing and CPT codes for pharmacist-provided services.
