Built and facilitated the development and operations management of the Global crowdsourcing initiative, (the JLABS QuickFire Challenges) including project plan creation. In addition to managing all communications with applicants, finalists and winners, I worked alongside JLABS, QuickFire team, Innovation Center and Enterprise colleagues, helping to ensure successful management of the rapidly growing QuickFire Challenge portfolio.

Supported the strategic planning, development and implementation of marketing initiatives for JLABS in the Bay Area. Hosted events to foster relationships between resident companies, vendors, stakeholders, investors, and the Life Science Community. Assisted in the development of the business case and strategy to productize QuickFire Challenge.

Collaborated with a postdoctoral neuroscientist to design and conduct experiments concerning the neuronal basis for behavioral responses to external sensory stimuli in C. elegans. Gained familiarity with wet-lab materials, procedures, and equipment.

Supported events programming, coordination and content creation. Utilized various social media platforms in marketing outreach and conducted public tours of JLABS @ SSF.

Managed social media channels, created promotional content, and designed an outreach campaign in biotech communications start-up.

Acquired skills in immunocytochemistry, electrophysiology, confocal microscopy, and microscopy image analysis under the supervision of a neuroscience Ph.D. candidate. The research focused on the molecular mechanisms underlying homeostatic synaptic plasticity in rat hippocampal neurons. Presented findings in the Michigan Research Community Spring Symposium

Presented and effectively communicated scientific concepts to a diverse public. Performed and explained multiple science demonstrations to children varying in age, background, and level of scientific knowledge. Chabot Space and Science Center Astronomy Team: Worked with team members weekly to conduct public night‐sky viewing and astronomy education with the museum’s reflector telescopes.
