I am a very social and open person, with a flexible, enthusiastic, and responsible work attitude. I enjoy working independently as well as in a team, and particularly thrive when I can use my knowledge, experience, and skills to help other people. My PhD project focuses on the neurobiology of behaviour, in particular with respect to the behavioural consequences of enhanced midbrain dopamine neuronal activity. I aim to clarify to what extent a hyperactive dopamine system may cause, or alleviate, psychiatric symptoms. Following my PhD, I wish to continue working in a medical and international environment, where I can use my expertise from experimental research to advance science organisation and communication. My goal is to improve global mental health, by contributing to research and health care.
