* Managed Accounting and Reporting for a portfolio of 12 west coast apartment properties with 3 direct reports. * Developed a new standard for divisional financial reporting to executive management. * Instituted a recognition program for financial professionals' development and promotion.

Responsible for Accounting and Auditing including SEC reporting, SOX compliance, Financial Planning & Analysis, Treasury, and A/P. Managed Enterprise Risk Management, Procurement, Executive Life Insurance, Office Services, Charitable Giving, Political Action Committee, and Business Continuity. Primary liaison to Audit Committee. Led 9 direct reports, including Corporate Controller, and a staff of 200+ accounting professionals. Reported to CFO and Member of Executive Committee. Led a team that integrated and automated cash projections and forecasting providing accurate and timely information for executive decision making using SAP BW, Business Warehouse. Identified and formalized new methodologies enterprise wide improving efficiencies under constrained resources in the areas of Risk Management, Business Continuity, and Travel & Entertainment Expenses, and Charitable Giving. Treasurer and Administrative Officer of the Political Action Committee. Executive sponsor driving a centralized procurement function.

* Promoted to this newly created position performing oversight and analysis of operating performance of non-managed properties owned by the company. * Developed a scorecard for portfolio operating metrics for COO identifying low performing properties.  * Recommended and executed restructuring plans improving operating results.  * Activities included refinancing, negotiating revised operating and joint venture agreements, and developing management improvement plans.

IThe Executive-in-Residence provides support to the Department of Finance Chair (who also serves as the Center's Director) in the management and oversight of the Paul J. Everson Center for the Study of Real Estate. The Center provides a resource to the Northeast Ohio real estate industry. Directives include research, education through scholarships, and a lecture series to connect CSU real estate students with the real estate business and academic community. As a liaison, I will create and foster relationships between CSU and real estate companies and firms, individuals and alumni in the real estate industry. I organize fundraising events, develop internship and co-ops, form and chair an advisory board, and develop a lecture series including the annual real estate conference.
