• Provide sequencing capabilities for all the teams at Tome • Day-to-day responsibilities include PCR, running gel electrophoresis, running tape station, quantifying library by Qubit/Pico Green as part of the library preparation process and keeping an up-to-date and detailed electronic lab notebook and writing standard operating procedures (SOPs) • Perform short read and long read sequencing using Next Generation Sequencing and Oxford Nanopore • Experience in liquid handling • Other responsibilities include testing and optimizing atgRNA sequencing protocol to characterize synthetic atgRNAs produced in company

• Research focused on screening for noncoding mutations that impact gene regulation such as gene promoters and splicing regulators. • Created a molecular inversion probe (MIPs) panel that targeted neural promoter regions, enhancers, CNEs, UCEs, and HARs. • Used the MIPs panel to amplify samples from ADHD, ASD, schizophrenia, and Tourette’s cohorts as well as samples from patient enrollment. • Experienced in cell culture growing N2A and SHSY-5Y cells lines. Have handled cell transfections and performed several luciferase assays. • Experienced in transformation and growing E. coli. • Have taken part in writing grants for the lab. • Knowledgeable in various sequencing tools such as Ion torrent, Illumina, Amplicon Sequencing, and Sanger • Other responsibilities included organizing lab inventory, autoclaving glassware, keeping stock of LB agar and LB broth, running PCR and gels, and data analysis.

• Research focused on protein-protein interactions between sigma factors and transcription factors in E. coli. • Created mutagenic libraries of transcription factors found to interact with RNA polymerase to determine specific binding site. • Performed bacterial two hybrid assays in studying protein-protein interactions. • Other experiences included transformation, DNA gel electrophoresis, and Western blot.
