Within Capgemini, I set up a China Desk to deal with projects serving Chinese clients. Nine consultants from different specialism joined this initiative. We launched the 'CN China Intelligence Group' in the market. This was a collaboration Haico Ebbers, professor and director of the Nyenrode Europe China Institute on May 26, 2010. This enabled a 'clash' between theory and practice. Nyenrode's strength of profound research, followed by Capgemini's thoughtful & efficient implementation. From Capgemini Consulting, I've been awarded with the Knowledge Award 2009, with my publication with Nyenrode: China Focus Report - 'Focus & Persevere'. For this research, we conducted interviews in Shanghai and Beijing with 25 Dutch MNC Senior Executives on their Successfactors and Obstacles of Doing business in China. The research results have been shared in China seminars.

Practice: Finance Transformation - Domain: M&A/ PMI Deals: TV, Monitors & Public Signage, Lighting factory August 2008 – Present: Philips Corporate Investments & New Venture Integrations M&A management consultant Within Philips, I support the client in the entire process of divestments of business that are considered non-core. We make target list to find potential buyers (many Asians), approach buyers, write information memoranda, sales pitches, guide the due diligence, support in the negotiations, and in the final disentanglement of the business worldwide. My added value especially in here is the knowledge of the Chinese language, culture, and the easy build-up of relationships with Asian buyers. Feb 2008- Aug 2008: Tennet TSO B.V. Process analyst for Finance Shared Service Center Together with a Capgemini team we designed and set up a finance shared service center within TenneT. The function was to centralize the financial administration, optimizing the procesflow, and reduce redundant steps in the process, leading to significant savings in resources which could be redirected.

I worked as CEO assistant of a start-up company in Vancouver in the parking industry. It was a dynamic small company, where supporting the CEO meant multi-tasking; from organizing tradeshows, designing flyers, doing sales, to leading/ hiring/ coaching employees, and sourcing & negotiating in Hong Kong and China, and even designing software specs with IBM.

After my studies, I decided to explore my roots in Hong Kong. I worked as TV-presenter for Lifestyle programs, presenting in the local language for travel, sharing the European culture, visiting many venues, conferences, worked within fast paced, no-nonsense, but authentic Chinese culture.

During the half year traineeship within KPMG, I experienced the work as being an accountant. Also, I wrote my thesis with the subject "Can financial analyst read the Hand of Mergers & Acquisitions?" I conducted a research on mergers & acquisitions within the Netherlands from the last 10 years, and compared the predictions of financial analyst at announement of the deal, with the result after 10 years, whether the the M&A was still successful, or already resulted in separation.
