I coordinate sustainable, green land use and food access programming in Dayton's East End. I also teach gardening to children in grades K-6 through the Miracle Makers Program housed at Ruskin Elementary School.

* Helped plant, cultivate and harvest school gardens for daily school meals, built a small hoophouse and did general groundskeeping around campus in exchange for free classes * Interacted with and helped weekly rotations of new students acclimate to the school and their beautiful mountainous surroundings

* Converted a soybean monocrop farm into an intensive garden-style organic operation * Helped construct a chicken coop and raise 60+ chickens from chickhood into adulthood

Tutored children K-12 with their Reading curriculum, from teaching them to read to helping improve grammatical structure

* Aided buyers in choosing American-craft pottery, jewelry, clothing and mixed media to sell in the store * Developed skills and knowledge regarding small business operation and ownership * Consulted with customers about purchases and worked the register

* Farmed on certified organic farms/vineyards in Missouri, Colorado, and California * Labored for 6–8 hours per day in exchange for room, board, and lessons regarding sustainability

* Took and updated photographic documentation regarding 9 of Columbus’ 16 historic districts * Updated property files and performed general office duties

* Collaborated on design projects utilized in low-income neighborhoods * Conducted interviews and pieced together the first written history of a Central Ohio village

* Assisted with grant-writing projects under the Development team and wrote well-researched descriptions for all auction items for annual online auction * Gathered End of Year Sponsor Reports for all major theatre Series and attended sponsor/donor functions on behalf of Development team

* Constructed and altered costumes for Denison theatre productions * Creatively designed costumes and styled actors for performances

* Aided in renovations of new warehouse and tool inventory intake in preparation of ToolBank Grand Opening * Built community partnerships with Cincinnati non-profits who would be able to borrow our tools for their upcoming community service projects

I coordinate our food access program in East Dayton which ranges from our Backyard Garden Program with Mission of Mary Cooperative, where we install a raised bed garden to neighbors free of charge and mentor them through the growing season, to teaching children and teens about gardening and nutrition through afterschool programs. Our goal is to increase food access resiliency, primarily through education of all age groups.
