As Information Security Officer, I lead the development and delivery of a comprehensive security programme that protects our people, data and systems while enabling business objectives. My core responsibilities include: Defining Security Strategy & Governance • Establish and maintain the information security vision, roadmap and policies aligned to ISO 27001, NIST SP 800-53 as well as His Majesties Government publications and notices. Risk Assessment & Treatment • Conduct regular risk assessments and gap analyses; recommend and oversee implementation of controls to mitigate identified risks Compliance & Audit Management • Manage compliance with regulatory frameworks (GDPR, NIST SP 800-53, ISO 27001); coordinate internal and external audits and deliver audit-ready evidence Security Architecture & Engineering • Review and approve secure designs for networks, systems and applications; validate changes from a security perspective Incident Response & Forensics • Maintain and test the Incident Response Plan; lead investigations, containment and remediation of security incidents, and perform post-incident reviews Security Operations & Monitoring • Work alongside SOC to detect and respond to anomalies. Awareness & Training • Design and deliver engaging security awareness programmes, including phishing simulations and workshops, to foster a security-first culture Third-Party Risk Management • Assess and monitor the security posture of suppliers and partners; embed security requirements into contracts and SLAs Metrics & Reporting • Define and track KRIs/KPIs; present regular reports on security posture and incident trends to senior leadership and the board This role enables me to bridge technical expertise with strategic oversight, driving continuous improvement in our security maturity and resilience.
