Responsibilities: During my time at Nissan I was given vast responsibility in various fields unfamiliar to myself prior to my placement. Some of which include handling financial documentation (managing accounts, stock value controls, managing financial accountability and budget setting), managing teams of over 6 members, working closely with large scale suppliers. • To develop and re-write a formal Service Level Agreement between Nissan and a logistics partner. • To review all logistics operations then identify and remove any Non Added Value activities • Lead internal and external improvement activities to improve efficiency, quality and flexibility. • Deal with foreign enquiries as part of standard business. • Manage recent project failings and limit any potential losses. Achievements • I managed to recover £90,000 of losses caused by failed business projects, through logical and systematic problem solving. • I have managed various improvement projects within the supply chain, which include gaining efficiencies within our logistics structure. • I have had to be creative throughout when developing methods to increase packaging efficiency, managing a team of different skill levels effectively and achieving results within lean manufacturing. • Auditing internal and external suppliers throughout the UK regarding unacceptable performance I had to give presentations to senior management on potential areas they can improve via my recommendations. • One key example to note is when I identified a part packaging inefficiency which thanks to my designing of a new product spec and ideas will gain a £40,000 saving each year. • Within the auditing role I had to face a variety of people from senior management to shop floor workers when presenting potentially problematic subject, demonstrating my ability to communicate on various levels.

• I worked for PST Consulting Ltd, a pharmaceutical consultancy where I worked within administration to put together legal documents to be used in a court of law regarding patent infringement. • This gave me responsibility as accuracy and precision was vital as one mistake could render the evidence I was putting together useless. I learnt to work well under pressure and put together the paperwork required to a professional level and was credited with the quality of work I provided. I gained an understanding in patent law and I feel this experience enhanced my knowledge and attitude towards work.
