Footwear Buyer, responsible for selecting and purchasing men’s, ladies and children’s shoes for 17 retail locations to meet customer demands. Achieve sales goals by analyzing market trends and managing inventory. Research trends in footwear to deliver a captivating, profitable and customer-focused assortment. Utilize pricing strategies, monitor inventory levels, and ensure shipping and receiving processes are followed. Use and maintain budget for purchases, maintained markup and inventory. Build and maintain relationships with footwear vendors by working on price, terms, and timely delivery of product. Track inventory levels and plan stock replenishment to maintain a balanced flow. Work with planning team and warehouse to maintain a steady flow of merchandise.

Assistant buyer; product selection, order entry, advertisements/promotions and interact with product vendors/salespersons. Independently responsible for maintaining specific categories, working directly with distribution center and stores. Distributing and managing merchandise based on comparative sales, customer demographics, trends and sales fluctuations. Correspond with regional and store employees regarding specific needs. Assist District Manager of Triad area with manager training. Knowledge of front end operations, POS department, DSD/direct store delivery, Profit and Loss reports, Employee retention and store procedures.
