Responsible for editorial direction, business strategy and results at the South’s largest daily newspaper. Part of an AJC leadership team that has charted a digital strategy aimed at sustainability, audience growth and subscriber loyalty. Overseeing a newsroom that has adopted an entrepreneurial culture that embraces tactics aimed at extending the AJC’s brand, working in lockstep with emerging consumer habits and building new revenue streams.

Overseeing journalists across four reporting teams that produce journalism on the newspaper's franchise news topics -- state and federal government, local government, public safety, transportation, heath care and business. One of the project managers on several of the newspaper's signature initiatives aimed at transitioning the AJC into a sustainable digital business.

Assignment editor for 13-member watchdog reporting team that covers public safety and the city and county governments that serve 5.5 million metro Atlanta residents.

Responsible for editing and vetting content that appeared on page 1A and digital.

Managed the newspaper’s award-winning political and state government coverage. Lead the team that broke the story of Gov. Mark Sanford’s secret trip to Argentina to visit his mistress. Planned and executed print and digital coverage of the historic 2008 Presidential Primaries that marked the emergence of Barack Obama and the 2010 S.C. governor’s race that elected the state’s first female and minority governor, Nikki Haley. Built a successful political blog, S.C. Politics Today.
