We provided recruiting services to local software companies without an HHRR department (startups, boutique SW development shops, and similar). We worked only with developer positions.

I performed at Abengoa (Nasdaq: ABGB, ABY) through its subsidiary, Simosa IT. I was responsible for the software development department in the Uruguay office. I built the local JAVA, BPM, and Sharepoint verticals with in-house teams and vendors. I also handled the recruitment process for the teams located in Montevideo.

I was in charge of two development teams, working on mobile applications (iOS), mobile websites (Android & iOS), and a customer-facing web portal. We used Scrum and TDD. I coordinated with the corporate structure located in the USA. I owned the local recruitment process for my teams. Also, I coached other company local teams that I didn´t manage directly.

I was in charge of up to 17 people working in three different teams. I collaborated with the engineering structure at a high level. I provided coaching for the USA, Mexico, Vietnam, and Russia teams. I led the local branch office's transition to a TDD methodology. I led the flagship products transition to a SaaS model from an SQA perspective. I owned the recruitment process for my teams.

I managed a group of up to 12 QA Engineers, working on flagship company products and back-office tools. I provided training, developed company QA standards, and participated in project planning. I led the transition from waterfall to scrum. I owned the recruitment process for my teams.

Worked on three software releases, generated automated test cases, and submitted 100+ bugs and new test cases. Working over waterfall methodology.

Formerly a blog about creativity and innovation, in December 2011, I transformed it into a static site showing all the published content. I wrote most of the articles by myself (+120) but got six active collaborators to write for me pro bono. The site hit 10k+ page views per month during its best days.

LaMejorIDea was a social network oriented to everyone related to or interested in creativity and innovation (in Spanish). I worked with Alicia Chavero on this project, who co-owned it with me. We created it from the ground up and gained 500+ active members. In 2009, the project was a candidate for the BBVA Open Talent program.

Participated in the building stage, managing the IT infrastructure implementation (100+ data nodes, 40+ voice nodes, CCTV security system, $30K+ server room), managing production IS implementation, and developing the help desk department. Developed IT/IS support manuals. Under my charge, 12 software pieces were developed.

Leveraged unexploited functions of the ERP the company had, developed new IS support processes, and managed two help desks.

Completed 60% of the required credits to apply for an Engineer Degree.
