Internship at the DIISM, Department of Industrial Engineering and Mathematical Sciences, within the DT&M Group of the Polytechnic University of Marche. The project was carried out in collaboration with the Picenum Plast S.p.A., a leading company in the production and marketing of pipes and fittings in PVC and PE. The aim of the internship was to redesign a manhole's structure made of spheroidal cast iron (GJS 500-7) in order to lighten it and preserving the same mechanical properties.
