Leon is a classic car investor and car enthusiast. From his office situated on Thesen Island, Knysna, he works within a highly productive, information driven environment. Leon manages investment portfolios for local and international clients. He is a water sports enthusiast, golfer, hiker and enjoys nature. He is passionate about travelling, and would like to see as much of the world as possible, to better his understanding of international markets, companies, management styles and cultures, improving his decision making ability and judgement.

With his newly acquired knowledge in the field of Business Management and Marketing, Leon started a business selling Scrubbs products imported from the USA, selling and marketing them in the Eastern Cape. Limited market research was done leading into the formation of this business. This eventually lead to him ending the business a year after its formation. The venture, however not successful from a financial perspective, instilled in Leon the fundamentals he needed in order to make a success of his future undertakings. Much was learned and little lost.

Working for a period of seven years as a financial planner for Sanlam in Port Elizabeth, and starting at the age of 23, Leon focused primarily on investment management. He built up a practice with R140m AUM. Advising and focusing predominantly on investments, this field of interest spurred on his passion towards portfolio management. During his advisory career he has formed a solid framework of tax structures, estate planning and asset allocation.
