Investment Circle is a university affiliated student organization that brings finance enthusiasts of all levels together to broaden their interests, enrich their industry knowledge, and expand their networks. We seek to hold the highest inclusivity and diversity standards to ensure that everyone, from an undeclared first year student to a working post-graduate student, can benefit from this community and our events. Each semester, we set a calendar of events that we feel bring a variety of constructive skills and experiences to our members. This year, events include banks visits, an interview skills workshop, Fintech Talks, a cryptocurrency panel, and FX trading games. Investment Circle is sponsored by Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and supported by the World Bachelor in Business program. Our faculty advisor is Veronique Lafon-Vinais who generously shares her time, expertise, and resources with us, allowing us to make our vision a reality.

Nexus Global Student Group connects highly ambitious students from different academic, geographic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. At our weekly meetings, we enable our members to explore outside of their own major and perspective. During these meetings, students present and discuss ideas, concepts, and opportunities that interest them beyond their discipline and career path.

With an enrolment of about 4,400 trainees between the age of 6 and 23 in over 800 classes, the scheme offers beginners to grade 8 level training in more than 30 musical instruments (western and Chinese) as well as musicianship for young people to develop their interest and potential in music. Trainees would attend a one-hour group lesson every week including teaching, record of homework, instrument preparation, tuning and packing at an assigned music centre. This scheme, which comprises 3 independent courses of training in more than 30 Western and Chinese musical instruments and musicianship, namely, a two-year Elementary Course, a three-year Intermediate Course, and a three-year Advanced Course, is open to young people between the age of 6 and 23.

-Skill Development: Learned and honed sailing techniques as a novice, navigating the waters around Hong Kong. -Leadership: Enhanced my leadership abilities by coordinating complex sailing maneuvers. -Memorable Moments: Sailed around Hong Kong, witnessing planes take off and land up close near the Hong Kong International Airport runway. -Teamwork: Reinforced the importance of collective effort, realizing that achieving our goals required the power of the entire crew. -Communication: Improved my communication skills through navigating challenges and working together to ensure a successful voyage.
